Wizard's First Rule

By: Terry Goodkind

For people who have not read the book may know the TV series called Legend of the Seeker, which has been on the air for several months now. That is how I first noticed these books written by Terry Goodkind. Wizard’s First Rule is the first book of the Sword of Truth series and when I first saw it, I was quite astonished at the size of the book. Personally, I usually do not read books that have a small font, which this specific type of book has but I went against my wishes and checked it out. I have to say that this was a great book to read even though in some places there were some mature content but other then that it was fine.

There has always been a boundary separating the Westlands from the Midlands and the Midlands and D’Hara but now the magical boundary separating the Midlands and D’Hara has broken down and the one that separates the Westlands from the Midlands is weakening. Richard Cypher, an ordinary woods guide, has lived his whole life in the Westlands and is ignorant to the Midlands or D’Hara but when a mysterious woman comes to his town, seeking for help, Richard’s life is about to turn upside down. Together, Richard and Kahlan must find the old wizard that helped the world in the past, but when they do, they learn that it is they that can save the people of the evil that is about to take over the world.
