North of Beautiful

By Justina Chen Headley

North of Beautiful is a cool book written by Justina Chen Headley. My friend recommended it to me and said it was a really good book. I agree with her and the way Justina wrote the book was just…beautiful. Usually I do not like reading books about people obsessed with their beauty and all but the way this book written and planned out it was just great. I have to admit though that the beginning of the book was kind of boring but just hang in there and it will get more interesting as the book unfolds.

Looking from behind, you will see a tall and blonde girl with an enviable body. But only with a turn of her face, you will see that she is not the perfect girl you had imagined. On one side of her cheek, she has an ugly birthmark that destroys her otherwise flawless face. Wanting to escape her controlling father, she plans to go to an East Coast college where she can start afresh but an unexpected collision brings her to meet a handsome Goth guy. This meeting creates a whole new path for Terra but is it what she wants?
