Having forced myself to read the second to last Pendragon book because for some reason I did not want to read it, I have to say I did not regret it even though I hated the plot. Now don’t get me wrong, I really love this book it’s just that I don’t like the way that the books ends though I have to admit that books can’t always have a happy ending. Anyways, I just absolutely LOVE the humor that D.J. MacHale weaves into the story. It always makes me smile even when something intense or bad is going on. I already have put a hold on the tenth book and I can’t wait to read it.
Bobby Pendragon thinks he has trapped Saint Dane with him in a territory called Ibara and he is willing to believe that because he wants it to be true. While Bobby is helping Ibara recover from the battle that occurred before this book, Mark Dimond and Courtney Chetwynde are on their own to defend Second Earth from the malicious forces that Saint Dane has gathered to take over Halla. The Convergence has begun but Bobby is nowhere to be found and just at the time when he is needed the most.
