The Pilgrims of Rayne

The Pilgrims of Rayne by D.J. MacHale is the eighth book of the Pendragon series. Like all of the other books in this series, it was an awesome book to read. There were twists and turns that kept your eyes on the book and made you not want to stop even though I was in a rush to go somewhere. I also really like the humor that MacHale writes with. It makes it seem like Bobby is a real person who is out there fighting to protect Halla.

Bobby Pendragon has followed Saint Dane to the tropical territory of Ibara. There he finds paradise so he needs to work to uncover the turning point of this territory since everyone seems to be happy. It is not long until Bobby understands something. The leaders of Ibara are keeping a devastating secret from their people and that secret is all Saint Dane needs to ensure that Ibara’s turning point goes the wrong direction. Bobby needs to find out that secret and prevent Saint Dane from succeeding in his mission.
